According to a recent report released by the FSSAI’s (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) National Milk Quality Survey, 2018, milk in India is largely safe. Pawan Aggarwal, CEO of FSSAI says, “This report has been released as there was a lot of misinterpretation of information provided in the survey conducted in 2011”. The report has revealed that only 10 percent of the milk sold in Indian markets is adulterated. If we go by the survey conducted in 2011, most Indians are consuming detergents and other contaminants through milk.
