British number one Johanna Konta says there has been a belief in the women's game that anybody is beatable for "quite some time now".

She's really on fire and her statement does ring true and more so for the ladies games. She did beat Simona Halep a couple of years ago last time she hit form when Halep was 2nd in the world.

Without appearing to be sexist, I wonder of the erraticness of the ladies is due to the 'time of month' turning up at the wrong time.

It surely cant help given what they have to do to win matches at the high end of the game.
