Northern White Rhino Extinct Yesterday. Who's Next?

A bit of a sad one today. I saw a post by @ultravioletmag yesterday about the passing of the last surviving male northern white rhinoceros, Sudan.

Even though there are still two females alive, this marks the unofficial extinction of the species. Obviously we need a male and a female to procreate.

Scientists have collected DNA material that can be used in an experimental procedure to create an embryo, but sadly neither of the existing females are able to carry to term, making it unlikely for this to work with the technology available today.
