Here's what I did on the bike this week. Thanks to @sjsbikes for the tip on uploading to Dlive. I was having trouble uploading to Dtube.

There was a lot of rain this week, but I managed to dodge it on Thursday. Then the sun came out Saturday and it was really nice.

Editor's note: At 3:35 in the video, I say that the footage is from the "Big Dam Bridge 100," but it's actually just from the Big Dam Bridge, not the event that is coming up in September.

Thanks for watching, I hope you leave a comment and click the thumbs up button and subscribe. And go ride your bike!

I use dlive as a fallback if dtube fails.

How do you like your training routine?

I try not to think about a routine too much, just ride when I can, and ride with whatever intensity feels appropriate.

If I analyze data too much, I'll start making excuses.

I also tried using a phone as an action camera, it failed just as badly. They make gimbals for phones, but for the same price you can get a dedicated action camera, perhaps two, if you buy secondhand.

I'm not really impressed with tacittraining.com, but it's free, so I like that part of it. As far as the training itself, I don't know if I'm getting any better or if I've plateaued or what. That will be part of my vlog next week.

I have a knockoff GoPro, but the handlebar mount broke. I need to buy a new one.

For me, the most effective strategy was figuring out my heart rate zones.

If I'm trying to achieve peak fitness, I try to aim for 10 hours a week of ride time of mixed intensity

Usually I get in about 5, unless the weather is good, and I want to push myself.

Zone 2, its slow, but I can ride all day at that level, everything else is temporary.
