HVAC Filter changing - One chore each day! - Daily Dlive # 37

Today was a rainy day filled with phone calls and paper work. But of course we found time for our Chore per day!

Little jobs that only need to be done infrequently can build up, and today I talk about, and show, changing the air filters in a home HVAC system. It gets dusty up there, so bring your electro-static duster and let's get to work!

Love and Light!

This is great!! You did a wonderful job, and so did your camera operator/helper! Clean air for the win!!

I have never seen anyone so enthusiastic over doing chores! Not a bad thing, you just make me feel... lazy! :-)
You are right though, do a chore or even a few a day, keep ahead of it!

There is a mail service where you can tell it what size/type of filters you need, and they automatically mail them to you when it's time to change them out. I can't remember the name of the company, but the logo is an elephant with a string tied around it's trunk as a reminder, ha ha. I might use that if I had to do this chore in my apartment, but I don't. We have a boiler for the building, so heat is from floor radiators, which I just vacuum with the hose every now and then. I have a wall unit a/c and not central air.
I agree with you about small bits every day. With my energy levels, a lot at once can put me down for a few days of recovery after! NTM it gets overwhelming. But if I make just a little progress often, it helps.
Of course, currently my apartment is a Big Mess, because my health tanked during my Big Purging/Simplifying/Cleaning Out Project. So, you know, when you're talking about sorting through and getting rid of things, like cleaning out a closet, you have to make a mess in order to minimize the contents. When I was making a mess and cleaning it up every time, I made less progress because so much energy and effort went to the start/finish and not the actual sorting. So I just started leaving it as a big honking mess until I was done with the area in question. LOL On the upside, I've purged a lot of stuff! On the downside, my apartment is a disaster area! But it'll be soooooo much nicer when I'm done, or more done, anyway, because then I'll have less stuff to deal with and keep clean and trip over. Which will be easier to keep up with!

Wow! I have definitely gotten over my head in big projects before! But little by little, you can keep moving forward!

Are you using ebay to help with the purge?

I did use them a lot last year, but this year I haven't. I have at least one more item for eBay, though.

I haven't had to clean or change filters since I left Canada. I live in an open house so have an air cleaner would make no sense at all. But for us in Canada, it was a twice-yearly chore too. When you own a home it is a daily job to keep up with things and when you do that, it doesn't become an overwhelming task.

An open house! We don't even have screens on our windows in Colombia c;

I haven't heard from you on discord for a few days, are you still doing research?

We have had lots of visitors, MIB searching for people against the government. I need to get back in business here...

That sounds really scary! Good thing you aren't against anybody, just for peace and love and keeping all of your family safe and fed!
