I love playing new songs fro my audiences! You never know how it will be received but generally speaking, when the song came from the heart as a result of an intense experience, it will communicate at that level to the audience.

Heart Wide Open is a song like that - with a title like that, it shouldn't be anything else, right?

It was written after a short-lived relationship which has however affected me very deeply. To process the pain, I used 'the work' of Byron Katie - an inquiry into one's beliefs and thoughts based on 4 questions and a turn around of the original statement - the thought that caused me a lot of pain.

It's too much to write about in here (I think I will rather make a video episode of My Artistic Journey about it), but the point I want to make is that as a result of doing 'the work', I came out feeling blissed out on the other side of pain. The effect of this process is nothing short of miraculous, 'juicy', leaving you feeling elated, liberated from pain and deeply joyous! I was literally 'high' on this feeling for several days to come! It was a first time ever that a break up resulted in an elation in the end ;)

As I was so blissed out, I simply sat down to the piano, and wrote this song. The words say it all. Enjoy!
