This is the most memorable day of my journey to explore the Northwest mountain of Vietnam. I traveled to a remote village in Tua Chua district (Dien Bien Province, Viet Nam), about a day drive from Hanoi. I attended the unique flea market that only occurs once in two weeks. I had the chance to ride a motorcycle on the mountain road, and it was such a fantastic adventure.

I bought two pigeons and some fresh vegetables from the market for BBQ. On the way back, I found an attractive old house with the proof made from stone, so I asked the owner if I could cook the pigeons on the porch of their house. It was such an unforgettable experience.

The pigeons were stuffed and covered with the mountain herbs and Mac Khen (the mountain pepper), the smell and taste are indescribably amazing. Sharing it with two little local boys, with a majestic mountain view, it was an unforgettable memory.
