I'm not skilled at this type of medium, but guess what. No shame!

This is a spoken word poem called and based on the word Saudade in Portugese which means: a feeling of longing, melancholy, or nostalgia that is supposedly characteristic of the Portuguese or Brazilian temperament.

Saudade

It’s as if the clouds keep passing by,
I’m not really sure what it all means,
All I know is that it has to do with,
What it was like when I was there

Sometimes when you’re in the moment,
You don’t stop and think,
That you will be looking back,
And hoping to be there again

Time plays games
You can’t play something back and it’s a shame
Not the same as the past
Just a fragment of your thoughts

A vivid recollection,
A constant desire,
The nostalgia.

That is
Saudade.

This was spurred inspiration from the word. I need to work on my wordsmithing a little to make it less... cheesy. But it was fun. I'm also playing piano live with the voice.

My video is at DLive
