This weekend, I met up with a good friend at King’s Cross for a nice, relaxing brunch and girly catch up. Looking for somewhere a little more private and accommodating, we stumbled upon a bar and restaurant called Drake and Morgan. Well, it turned out to be the most ideal spot that we would definitely come back to!
Drake and Morgan is located in the heart of London, just a couple of minutes stroll away from King’s Cross station. The place is huge, consisting of two spacious floors of a bar and restaurants, an open kitchen and year-round outside space for its patrons to enjoy.
The layout inside is contemporary and generous, featuring very nicely decor and some additional classic reading material, all providing for a sophisticated and chilled out feel all around. Also being a bit early on the weekend, the venue wasn't too busy.
The menu had a nice variety of items to choose from. Both my friend and I opted for the Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle with avocado, sour cream, jalapenos and chilli maple syrup. Yep, this was a classic brunch-fest, tasting oh-so savory and sweet, lol!
The food came beautifully presented as well as being a sensible portion size. There does seem to be a definitely "magic spark" when combining rich, salty strips of fried chicken piled on top of crispy waffles and drenched in the sugar of maple syrup! Every bite tasted amazing. It was thoroughly satisfying and a very enjoyable culinary experience!
The service was friendly and efficient, despite this place getting significantly busier after a while. The downstairs bar area was also pretty cool and cozy, though I would love to check it out properly next time.
Overall, I was very impressed with Drake and Morgan. A fantastic atmosphere with great quality food and affable people. I will most definitely be returning to try out a few of their other delicious dishes and soak in some more of that "great" atmosphere.

这个周末我约了朋友在国王十字火车站附近吃午餐，偶尔发现了一家很不错的酒吧餐馆名叫Drake and Morgan，所以我在这里和Steemian朋友们分享一下。
Drake and Morgan座落在伦敦的中心，距离国王十字火车站仅有几分钟的步行路程。这家店地方非常大，包括两层的酒吧和餐厅，一个开放式厨房和户外区域。餐厅里面的装修很雅致，颇具现代气息，给人很轻松惬意的感觉。我们来得比较早，店里还不是太忙。
菜单的选择蛮多的，朋友和我都不一而同地选了炸鸡华夫饼。这其实是大块炸鸡铺在华夫饼上，配上牛油果，辣椒和枫糖浆等，挺经典的美国派食物风格。食物上桌卖相十分好，份量也足。这种配搭出于意料的好吃，鸡块炸得金黄焦脆，再咬上一口外酥内嫩的华夫饼，咸香和甜味结合得十分融合。这是一道挺有特色的菜，非常值得推荐哦。
下午餐厅逐渐繁忙了起来。尽管这样，他们的服务依然很热情到位。楼下酒吧区也布置得很漂亮，晚上来这里的气氛也应该很好吧，呵呵。
Drake and Morgan给我留下了非常深刻的印象，环境和食物都相当不错。我一定会再来试试这里其他美味佳肴！

A place that posh looking with a reasonable price and menu? Top notch for sure. I love how the place looks. Very cozy and welcoming. Looks like a great place to relax with some friends.
