I love the game but to compete I need to get better at building. I've been told by people who have spent hours on the game that when you start getting shot, don't fire back, just build, but this is easier said than done. I find myself panicking or fumbling around with buttons and by the time I get round to building something either I am too late or I end up building a bit of floor instead of a wall which is pointless.
Supposedly you can play the game using a keyboard which makes it a lot easier to build quickly but I only have a PS4 so I will keep practising but when I am playing against people who have clocked up hundreds of hours on the game I don't stand much chance.

Same with me, I also panic when get shot at and have a hard time switching from building to weapons and vice-versa.
Need to get better still, also shooting with the different weapons is hard. Need to learn all of them, cuz there are many who just one shot you as soon as they get close. Was thinking abot buying the PVE expansion so that I can practice but as soon as I moved money to my credit card they moved the 50% off and now its 40€ -.-

i love this game specially it doesn't have a cheat unlike other games with same gameplay(Rules of survival, Player Unknown battle ground, ETC). I want to get some techniques about looting. but then drops are random on each map sometimes you have a good spot with bad loots and sometimes good loots with bad spot. but i will still be looking on your advice on how to play like pro. i will watch you play. thanks
