slowly getting that productive right for regular streaming — that split screen thou.

One of the biggest things I’ve wanted to get sorted recently was to have a second screen in a portrait configuration for obs, discord and streaming in general, it kinda takes a bit of horsepower away from the computer because you are running two displays but for basic effects it should work pretty sweet while I’m working.

gonna take some getting used to but gearing up for having a future machine tucked away, securely (the gaming and video editing) rig will mean that I can use this second screen for switching and comms away from what’s happening on screen, eventually this machine will go to the left side and the new screen in the middle I guess but that’s a way off.

In terms of course production and daily recording this should make things more polished in the short term because I can capture the screen and restream that while having notifications across to one side — honestly I don’t know how many other streamers do it without a second screen it’s really hard because the more real estate the better.

i need to do some major work on aerials and connectivity redundancy in the months ahead if I want to stream regularly because it’s not quite where it needs to be yet and I need to tinker around with that — combination of weather, aerials, sims, fail over redundancy and some additional wifi dongles, even backup routers might solve dropouts and bad latency uploads.

Time to start on my @steemhunt posts for the day then I can get stuck into playing around with a test of crowdcast and @dlive like I was gonna get into today, getting through the work list today! :)
