When Having A Good Time Becomes Hard!

Here's a funny video of me and Karen having an awesome time at the ice skating rink. But this post is much more than this simple video. This post has an infinite amount of depth, just like anything else. It is intricately interconnected to everything else.

I can't tell anyone what to do or what to think or at least there's no need. We all do our best. Even when we fail to do our best, we've tried. Everyone should acknowledge that. All of us are perfect, even in our constant desire to better ourselves.

As I mentioned yesterday, this whole society is based on lies and deception but there's no need to be angry at anyone or anything, as we're all subject to the same fears and lustful envy.

In today's society, people overpower each other for fear of being overpowered by others. Either we have power over other, or they have power over us.

"The feeling of having no power over people and events is generally unbearable to us – when we feel helpless we feel miserable. No one wants less power; everyone wants more." - Robert Greene - (48 Laws Of Power)

Let's not get ourselves get caught up by our fears, as fear is suffering and suffering is the worst of feeling. Let's consciously chose to break away from our fears and rise up in love as oppose to falling in love.

"If you start giving power to me, I don't like it. It is your power. When you go and give some power to somebody it is very flattering to them, they will not be able to reject it. You are falling into their trap on your own. Why should they say: "This is your power?" - Osho

Nice to see to see that you have won @teamsteem upvote. Great comment... I’m sure we will be expecting once more @Airhawk discord channel...

Hi Guillaume Cardinal , first of all i love that name but wish to know the meaning... But we have to call you @teamsteem cos here on steemit the name is popular and everyone wants to know the person behind the name.

I enjoyed every moment of that funny video especially where you fell down you did it deliberately i guess cos it was just too sudden... More also i really like where you jumped and twist in the air that makes you look like a professional in skating. There is this statement you made when you making use of the iron you said 'Even the best need tool to move around'

Another thing i found very hard to believe although, I'd just assume shes joking about you having you having injury in the brain and lost some abilities heheheh i dare not believe that bur only you can answer that. Anyways you have vote, I will always vote you as a witness on steemit despite you don't know me, i have learnt so much from you and karen.

Finally what you said about Power & Fear, all i will just say is in life the unexpected happens, how you respond to them defines your character and the quality of your inner strength. Decide what you want and what you are willing to exchange for it, pay the price cos no man wins a prize without a price.

I did fall for real. There was a slushy spot on the ice. And I did had brain injuries but nothing that stop me from playing hockey or caused to much damage at least hopefully!

Thank you for the kind word and support.

Oh sorry about the injuries! I feel so honoured to see that I’m the only one your replied to.. to me it’s a success even though you didn’t upvote but I think I have done well for my self to get a response from you. Thank you very much @teamsteem

"The feeling of not having power over people and events is generally unbearable for us: when we feel powerless we feel miserable. No one wants less power, everyone wants more.

So our life comes down to a constant search for power?? Success is power?.. Are we ready to have more power?
I believe that you are right, power makes us feel superior, in one or more steps above, we strive to have more power and control over things, maybe we are all egosites and never focus on being happy without having the power, I don't want to be better than anyone else, but if I would like to be loved by someone, it's all a matter of focus, in the end power will make you greedy and end up with everything that makes you happy, the best thing is to share without worrying about everything, the best thing is to live. . Happy night

There's a flip side to all these negative energies, at least from my standpoint and life experience. I see my anger, fear, and sadness as more of guideposts into my life, identifying areas within and around where I need more nurturing or letting go. Life isn't all happiness and goodness 100% of the time. And that's okay.

Lies? I think the most dangerous lies are those that we tell ourselves. Sure, information we take in can condition us, but ultimately it's our choice of how to act on them.

It's really how you choose to make of what is given to you. This works for me.

Thanks for sharing; it's always a pleasure to read contemplative thoughts and still be (as much as we can) non-judgmental about how others choose to live their lives. Take care.

Nice video, took a while to load but the quality is great!^^

With this new technology the truth is spreading like wildfire and there's nothing stopping it. When we see things as they are fear won't be an issue any more and the extreme separation we are experiencing now will be a mere memory of a dark distant pass.

Thanks for being a part of this awakening @teamsteem! Finally we got the tools and knowledge to work together on a grand scale which will surely lead to a united humanity and a new golden age... Good times are coming and I'm so happy to be a part of it! :)

Reko_3

nice skating skillz btw!;)

awwww! :) I love what you wrote @teamsteem! "I can't tell anyone what to do or what to think or at least there's no need. We all do our best. Even when we fail to do our best, we've tried."

I couldn't agree more! I wish we could go ice skating everyday!

They look so happy.

@teamsteem, the man that you are is exceptionally different. I don't know the reason why you do what you do, but what I know is that you're a good man. This isn't flattering you, it's acknowledging your good deeds on steemit. I haven't seen anyone busy at doing what you do when there's no reward attached. For me that's the true humanity. I don't have much to give, but you deserve the best!

I remember my young days I used to be a skater but since theres no ice in our country I used to wear shoe skate but I wanted to learn how to do the Ice skate I guess I can be a better skater inspired by two of you. :)

Haha! Having a ice skating rink helps!

@teamsteem All I can say buddy, u guys rock, always have fun together, whether it is a hot or a cold weather :)

Hi @teamsteem,

First of all, great video! You guys looked like you were having so much fun, you made me want to go ice skating! The fact that you seemed to have ice rink to yourselves is awesome.

It’s a great metaphor for you to use in the video, by falling down and getting up again. There is much joy in the trying, and it takes a lot of strength and humility to even get up to try again. People often forget to acknowledge that trying is the journey that we don’t allow ourselves to enjoy, it’s where all the hard work happens, “the blood, sweat, and tears”, and we forget to relish in the process due to focusing on the destination too much.

I like the message that you’re putting out there; to feel powerless over situations, particularly over your own life, is one of the worst feelings in the world. But you’re right in pointing out that we all have a choice, as even when you’re living in the shadows, feeling like you’ve hit rock bottom, you can always choose to look up. A friend of mine, who has been battling with cancer over the last five years, recently chose to say, “f**k cancer” and has been consciously (and actively) looking for things to be grateful for in her day to day life, and sharing it online. I find that attitude truly inspiring, and in her doing so with such fire and grace, it has been uplifting and empowering for the rest of us watching. She has certainly made me acknowledge that I have so much to be thankful for in my own life.

Rather than giving away your power, that is truly yours to keep, it is still possible to empower one another, which feels different as it is more of a creative energy, a force that can uplift the other as well as ourselves. I love the idea of raising up, as oppose to falling in love, because that’s what it feels like, being lifted up by another person. So simple. So beautiful. So empowering.

Thank you for sharing this, and thank you for your words of encouragement.

@dramamama x

P.S. Great skating btw! Like a fish to water (except the water was frozen, and the fish was “swimming” on its surface, lol!)

Omgsh! ❤️❤️❤️ I love what you had to say. Your friend is an inspiration. ☺️

Thank you! And yes, she’s amazing ❤️

Yeah you are right @teamsteem.... hidden within the subconscious, there is an insatiable desire to feel powerful ...We humans are really voracious when it comes to power...its like an addiction of our's....
We always want to stay in control of ourselves and others...there is no limit to it, the more we feel powerful/control....the more we craves.

May be that will be our(humans) doom...

I remember an old happening written in our religious scripts...
A person came to Hazrat Ali(RA) and asked him
"How much in control we humans are???"
Ali (RA) said to him, "Lift your right foot up"
As he did so... Ali(RA) asked him
" Now lift your second foot"
and the man started looking with bewilderment at Ali (RA)...
Then Hazrat Ali smiled and said
"That is precisely how much powerful/in control we human are"

The constant race for power comes from not being present with what is. When we are fully aware of what's going on around us, we feel peaceful and we know that everything is okay in this moment, and that we are enough exactly as we are.

Woah you know how to skate! I don't know how to skate... I can practice for $11 admission at the indoor rink we have here. I never seen an outdoor rink before, so cool! I liked watching Karen challenge herself xDD

I wish we could use the assisted walkers in the main part of the rink. It's divided between learners and "people who know how to skate." D: Lol what a savage trying to kill Karen!

"All of us are perfect, even in our constant desire to better ourselves."

I like this why overpower when you can empower. Making mistakes and growing together :3

Don't want to stereotype here, but obviously as a Canadian you got the moves on the ice :) You guys should totally check out the Vienna's Ice Dream in Austria next year when the season starts again, most beautiful ice rink in the heart of Vienna between the Town Hall and the Castle Theater, it is so huge, dozen of lanes, a speed slope and it gets bigger every year!

You can check out my extensive article if you like where I captured the atmosphere in the winter:

https://steemit.com/sixweekhealth/@street.yoga/week-five-of-six-week-health-challenge

Also I see you citing Osho, If you don't know it allready I highly recommend you to watch a new documentary series on Netflix called Wild Wild Country, its about the rise of the Rajneesh movement, mindblowing!

Rule by force is the disease, who and how are symptoms.

We live under a system forced upon us that discourages loving sharing relationships.
In order to eat we have to charge our elderly neighbors money to mow their grass.
Instead of helping the homeless, we kick them and tell them to move along, and get a job.

Until we learn to share with our neighbors, rather than gouge them for profit, this is what we get.
A rule by force dog eat dog existence with no incentive to share and care for each other.

Wow... So much fun.. Amazing video there. One problem is that about 99% of the fear people experience today are non-physical fear, that only exists in our head. We think we’re in danger but we really aren’t.
Every moment one spends swirling around in fear, one is cultivating a seed that gives rise to subsequent similar thoughts. The more one does it, the more one is set back by it.

One can loosen the grip of fear on your life and become more courageous by being purposely vulnerable, Acknowledging your fears,Expose yourself to what you fear,Think positive, and Practice courageous acts. These helps a lot. Thanks

Hey man, did you ever play pond hockey while growing up? We played it here in the US when the water in the lakes and ponds would freeze over in the winter. Might not have made your skating all that good, but it was a blast taking a few slapshots, mostly going around checking each other with big hits, and watching buddies fall when they were first time skaters...good memories! Looks like you might've played some hockey from how you got over the boards and onto the bench at the end of the video...but not convinced from the skating!

Regarding your comment on fear, that "fear is suffering, and suffering is the worst of feeling", isn't it funny how that relates to opportunity in investing, and especially volatile markets like cryptocurrencies? Because there is the fear of missing out for some, which drives people to buy at prices that are too high, but then there are also people who are so afraid of overpaying for their assets that they never end up taking a position at all, since they keep waiting for a lower low. I think all emotions, feelings, and factors of society exist on a spectrum...and thus your individual nature fully depends on where you fall in that range, which is likely unique for each and every person.

You didn't seem like a pro when you started the video especially after I saw you fell within the first minutes but hey, that was some impressive moves. Sorry about your injury. I hope I'll one day get a chance to try such sport. Over here the biggest ice you can get is from your fridge and am sure it won't be safe to try those skills you displayed with my ice cream or frozen glass of water 😀😀😀

The issue of power is a tricky one. Everyone complains of how intoxicating it is but then we all seek it everyday cause without it the next person might not be so kind to you with his power. So, you see it's a tricky one.

this whole society is based on lies and deception but there's no need to be angry at anyone or anything

No one owes you anything. We all do what we think is the right thing at each moment. People always blame others for the bad in the society and complains that life is unfair. But no, I believe that life is fair enough because it is unfair to everyone.

its pretty amazing how you and @Karensuestudios formed such a great friend via steemit. You are a pretty good ice skater - at least better than me until you stacked it lol.

Heheh. Teamsteem makes it easy to become good friends with him😆

" Even when we fail to do our best, we've tried

I like that in other words dont be to hard on yourself.

Thanks for the links about you and info about steemit

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
― Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"

how hard it is... lol haha

The feeling of having no power over people and events is generally unbearable to us – when we feel helpless we feel miserable.

Everyone want to be in control of their situation. "in order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure."

Nice post, keep it up

One thing is for sure: this world is unforgiving.

It isn't set up for people to prosper, to support and engage eachorher as commubities. It is set up for few to profit from the rest. And when money is supposedly just a credit for goods and services, yet the majority of it sits there hoarded by the 0.0001%, then something is seriously wrong.

Let's hope crypto can improve the world in a meaningful way.
