Karen and I got to visit Montreal's most beautiful spa! Everything there was super deluxe gangster, five-star extravaganza! This place rocks!

Bota Bota, spa-sur-l’eau officially opened its doors in Old Montreal in December 2010. It's located on a 5 floors boat anchored in the old port with quite a large a garden area. The whole place has a very slick look and the staff is dressed as some sort of sailors or boat crew which I thought was a nice touch.

All in all, there's 4 spas, 2 cold pools, 2 freezing bath, 2 saunas, a restaurant and all sorts of messages and body therapies. It was my first spa experience and I really enjoyed it. Being with @karensuestudios obviously took this experience to a whole other level just like every other place I got the chance to visit.

It's probably a good place to met people as they aren't stressed out, or at least during their time there, but as soon as their out, there a fairly good chance they're the worst!

Heat Therapy

Youtube version for those who might have issues with DLive

Is contrast bath therapy real? I don't know! One thing is obvious to me though, it feels good and there's a lot of benefit to heat therapy. I was feeling quite ill that day and I feel like the spa really did a lot of good!

Spreading The Word About Steem

During our trip, @karensuestudios and I ended up sharing our Steem blogs with 3 restaurants owners and many more people. One owner already shared @karensuestudios Steem post on her Facebook. The post can be seen here.

Bota Bota Spa has a Twitter account which I'll obviously tag when I'll share my post on these websites. This is free, high-quality publicity for every one of us!

Romans did so-called contrast bath therapy. Visit Baden Baden in Germany for the old Roman spa. The brushes they use for defoliating dead skin really work

The heat therapy definitely sounds better to me than the freezing baths! Some people treat spas like their frivolous, and maybe they are a little, but there is something to be said for maintaining whole body wellness! -Aimee

you look very relaxed! :)

That looks very relaxing... Someday I will also visit Bota Bota Spa! Thanks for sharing this :)

Cool... relaxing... I wish I can try that also... (^_^)

Those pictures are really nice.

Without a doubt both had an incredible time, and that makes me happy. It is always good to see how other people are happy. It's funny for me to know that even the origins of spas are not very clear. Some people believe that the term comes from the Belgian town of Spa, which in Roman times was very famous for its thermal waters; while others think it is the Latin acronym of the phrase 'salus per aquam' on the other hand, if we look for an official agency such as the Royal Spanish Academy of Language (RAE) there, it is assured that spa is a place name that comes from a thermal water center located in the Liège region (Belgium), which was very known for being the place of entertainment of the aristocratic families of the early twentieth century.
Whatever their beginnings, spas have become a very important part of the health and wellness industry. Many physicians and physiotherapists recommend water-based therapies to their patients because of the numerous positive points of this. Spas offer many short-term benefits, especially on a physical level that's why they helped you feel better!
Great experience

Looks so amazing ❤️

Sir! Great post. Me and my girlfriend would want to try this experience too. Thanks for the inspkration!

Best description. Giving us the tour with the Illuminati eye—what a dork! I like @karensuestudios trying to use the ice bath x3 I like that she mentioned that the change of temperature helps with circulation.

Very good health theme <3
