Some Fun At The Fruit Stand!

I don't remember if this fruit stand was listed on Yelp or any of those apps but it was clearly better than many restaurants if not all of them. The food was much cheaper and much healthier than any of them for sure! This fruit stand's prices were particularly cheap.

@karensuestudios, @acromott and I had a real feast that day and a couple of the following days too!

Humans And Their Diet!

Hominids have had a symbiotic relationship with fruit for millions of years.

People should eat whatever feed them the best and most enrich their environment. I feel like plants, in particular fruits, best fill my needs.

I spend some long bout of time without eating any fruits, while I've also spent months on end where fruits were the vast majority of my calories.

Moral of this, eat what makes you feel good and if after eating you don't feel good, think about changing your diet!

This chart isn't perfect but can give some ideas

Food For Thoughts

Dr. Michael Greger is the author of "How Not to Die" which made the New York Times bestseller lists at least three times.

Look, there is only 1 diet that has ever been shown to reverse our number 1 killer, heart disease, in the majority of patients, and that is a plant-based diet. So should that not be the default diet until proven otherwise? The fact that it also can reverse other leading killers such as hypertension, diabetes, etc —it just seems to make the case for plant-based eating overwhelming." Dr Greger (nih.gov)

Plant-Based Athletes (Record Holders)

  • Patrik Baboumian (Strongman)
An Iranian-born German strongman who looks an awful lot like a vegan Wolverine, Patrik Baboumian, is very strong and proudly vegan. His personal bests include a 162.5kg (358.25lb) log lift, which was then a world record in the -105kg division, and an overhead keg lift of 150kg (330lb), which remains a world record. In 2015, he broke his own world record in the yoke walk with a ten-meter, 560kg (1,234.59lb) walk in Kitzcher, Germany.
  • Scott Jurek, (Ultramarathon Runner)
As set the American 24 hour record with a run of 165.7 miles, as set the record for the 2189 mile Appalachian Trail and as set 10 ultramarathon course records.

  • Kendrick Farris (Power-Lifter)
The lone male to compete for Team USA’s Olympic weightlifting team in Rio, Farris broke the 94kg U.S. record by lifting 377kg (831.1lb) during the trials in March.

  • Clarence Kennedy (Power-Lifter)
The Irish weightlifter is known for his 185-kilogram snatch and 220-kilogram clean & jerk at about 100kg bodyweight, lifts that he made both before and after he switched to veganism in 2016. Both of these lifts would be American records in the -105kg class, though we should point out that Kennedy has not made these lifts in competition.

  • Hulda B. Waage (Power-Lifter)
She also holds the all-time equipped national bench press record with 120kg (254lb), and has previously pulled a 185kg (407lb) deadlift.

  • Weia Reinboud (Track And Field)
As at least 23 world records

  • 23 athletes who set World Records or became World Champions Link

Fruit Based Vegan Powerlifter

440 pounds dead-lift triple body weight, for which according to this chart I just repped the "elite" status for deadlifts.

Eat fruits and increase your health. you don’t need medicines you just need healthy food to live a healthy life. and fruit should be a regular part of your daily diet. fruits are the natural gift of God. Healthy post @teamsteem thank you for sharing

I totally agree you but in addition for that their are some vitamins and minerals which you can't get in fruits or vegetables or if you get it from them you need to consume it in very large quantity so in games like power lifting or athletics , medicines or supplements play a very important role .

Weekly I go to a fruit and vegetable stand in my city, it's a pleasant moment for me, to choose every fruit that my little one will taste at home, to see that place gives me a lot of joy, it would be like being in a big park, everything looks so colorful, fresh and healthy, that it would be difficult to choose, those strawberries have a delicious color, in Venezuela with the crisis and the shortage, there is little fruit that you can see or buy, pears, apples, peaches, strawberries, they are fruits that we Venezuelans had to take out of our diet, but we definitely are what we eat, as far as possible we try to consume fruits, they are full of many vitamins, the orange is not missing at home and the bananas for potassium, I think I would be happy in that place and I love it because I know that you enjoyed it, greetings

The vitamin and mineral intake with 2000 calories of raw vegetables is so far ahead of the other categories - it makes total sense to make these the main part of your diet!

Fun at the fruit-stand, enjoy these times guys!

Indeed, vegetables can be very healing!

You've inspired me to change my title which I think is much better now!

heh :) Great!

whaooo..... What a great post to help humans health and life...... There are so many diseases and sickness that doesn't need drug or injection but adequate intake of fruit...... Thank @teamsteem for the post.... More grace

Fruits are one of the most important sources of human health, thanks to their richness of many nutrients that promote health, as well as the great diversity of fruits. People who are keen to eat fruits on a daily basis increase their immune system to resist many diseases, cancer, heart, weight gain, diabetes.

I must say you guys work really hard on each blog, and you have gathered tremendous amount of information to create a blog.

$37 for such a handful of healthy fruits is quite amazing.

It will be nice to use some watermelons for weightlifting and eat it thereafter.

Your body system will really be happy with you now.

Thanks for Dr. Greger's post link too.

Nice info here, I’ve been working on switching to a more plant based diet too. Not completely, but I have greatly increased my fruit and veggie intake. Cheers dude

Fruits and vegetables are very tasty, have many vitamins and are very nutritious. Greetings.

It's cherry season in nearby provinces. One thing about living where I do is that there's few fruit trees that grow here! A few types of apple. They are not common to find. But, i'd grow a few trees on the land if i had the chance. We can grow raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, and blueberries. But, none of the other divine fruit on the list. Papaya and pine apple are among my faves! I am curious to try persimmon! Great post. Thanks!

@teamsteem This article is very informative which helps us to maintain our diet, Thanks for sharing with us

A lot of fruits have their own nutrition and benefits. Thank you for your fun and insight in the fun of the fruit stand.
