Eyes Never Deceiving

With tiny hands holding a bit of crust, the mouse nibbled on the cold floor enjoying the moment and unaware of the eyes peering over the chair. He paused, then continued. "I see you," and the cat pounced. Yet the mouse jumped, his eyes never deceiving.
