Dai Nippon Printing Co has revealed its futuristic technology at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, with wall panels that can change from black to white, heat and breath activated switches, and even an 'electronic ink' dress.

With low power usage and flexibility, the DNP says it could have a wide range of applications.

'In the future, maybe it could be on the wall in your living room or on the tabletop, hotel entrance, or on the floor,' the DNP team told Dailymail.com.

The firm also demonstrated two ‘Sensing Walls,’ with a heat activated system and a breath activated system. With the so-called thermal switch, the wall detects your body temperature as your hand approaches the wall. So, without having to touch it, the wall can react to your presence to carry out a designated action.Similarly, the Breath Switch turns on when you breath on the wall, responding to thevibration from the flow of air.Eventually, they say these types of sensors could be used to control different household actions, like turning on or off the lights.
