Research on male executives found that executives who viewed the stressor as a challenge, as an opportunity for growth and development had better physical health than executives who viewed the stressor as a threat (Goodhart 1985).

One must be convinced of the truth of the intended direction. That is, in doing something must already be confident with the truth of the views that followed, have the purpose and the right reason, not enough just by positive thinking. If the wrong and positive thinking of the error will get negative results and berkcapat toward the wrong goal. Covey affirms the importance of truth as a view of something or the ultimate goal of life.

Definition of Positive Thinking
Positive thinking is a logical way of thinking that sees something positive in terms of itself, others, and the circumstances of its environment. Thus, he will not despair over the problems he faces and easy in finding his way out. Positive thinking is a unity consisting of three components, namely the content of the mind, the use of the mind, and the control of the mind.
Mind Charges
Positive thinking is an effort to fill the mind with positive things or positive content. According to Ubaedy, positive charges for the mind are various forms of thought that have the following criteria:
True (not violating truth values),
Good (for yourself, others, and the environment), and
Helpful (produces something useful).
Mind Usage
Incorporating a positive charge in the space of thought is a positive action, however, it is at a low level if the positive charge is not manifested in concrete action. Therefore, the content of the positive charge needs to be actualized into action in order to have an impact.
Mind Control
The third dimension of positive thinking is mind control. This activity includes trying to find out what loads are put into the mind space and how the mind works. If it is known that there are negative things to come into the mind space it is necessary to take action in the form of removing the negative things by replacing it with a positive. Similarly, if it is identified that the mind is working incorrectly then attempts are made to correct the weakness or error.
Positive thinking is not a goal but a way to achieve goals. Making positive thinking as a goal does bring benefits but the benefits are not yet when compared with the benefits obtained if positive thinking is used as a way. Contrary to optimism, pessimism views failure from the bad side. Generally a pessimist often blames himself for his misery. He assumes that misfortune is permanent and it happens because of fate, ignorance, disability, or ugliness. As a result, he resigned and did not want to try.
