It's a choice. You can decide to upvote yourself or not. Is it a crime to love your own post? Or is steemit saying you can't?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
