Whether it's in the real world, or in the virtual world, the sycophants are always there. They mingle with the community and act like a professional. However, the truth remains revealed, it is seen from the way they approach the people who have the power.
In the real world, maybe we'll see those types of people in government, in companies, or in institutions. However, in cyberspace (as in steemit), the sycophants will try to get closer to the dignitaries, by selling their self-esteem.
They (the sycophants) have a way of turning off respect, from others to themselves. Say when they approach the Whale, to get rewards and willing to share a little profit. Of course, that's not a good way, much less just to get an upvote.
I imagine if the phrase "the sycophants" were not only insinuations but done in a real way, then I can imagine, the sycophants in the virtual world (steemit) exactly the same as in the picture above, Mister Bean was licking his gadgets LOL
