I don't work in media, but there are a fair few people on Steem experimenting with different models. Steem has potential to build something on, but the current uncertainty will not help build confidence. I hope we can get through this an get on with changing the world. Existing business methods are not guaranteed to last.

Do you know any of the others? Would love to brainstorm and collab with others in the space!

I follow a lot of people who do comics even though I have not been that into them previously. @katharsisdrill has put a whole series on Steem and is not doing a Kickstarter. @kommienezuspadt has also done a crowdfunder. I Have bought work from both of them and would not have known about them without Steem.
@drwatson is producing a comic and is using @fundition. I am not totally clear on how that works.
@arseniclullaby has done lots of work in the mainstream comics world and has shared lots of work here. He is another I would not know otherwise and I bought some comics for Steem.
@soundlegion puts her music on Steem. Her posts make something, but I am sure it gains her more fans.
