Areca Palm Climbing Competition in Welcoming the 73rd Indonesian Country of Independence Day

Hi D.Tube ...
On August 17 this was the 73rd celebration of Indonesia's independence day.

There are many ways the Indonesian people do when celebrating the Indonesian Anniversary such as a flag ceremony, pilgrimage to eating heroes, to holding various competitions.

Independence day celebrations every year are incomplete without any areca climbing competitions.

The races were a comedy from the Dutch era and especially the Japanese era which was supplemented by various new competitions.

usually the betel climbing competition is not done individually. However, it was carried out by a team of more than two people to get high prizes on trees, bamboo or wood.

In the past, areca climbing was held as entertainment during important celebrations of the Dutch people on the land of Indonesia, such as weddings.

Now, when the indigenous people competed to get prizes hung on the pinang tree tops.

that's a little story from me about the commemoration of the 73rd Indonesian nation's independence day, hopefully it can be an inspiration for the nation and state, and increase enthusiasm in advancing the Indonesian state for all generations.
