This is a story of a person Mohan. When he was in school, he used to think once he clear his board exams of 12th standard with good marks, he will be happy because he will be able to get admission to a good college. He worked very hard, remained tensed and worried all through his 12th class to secure good marks. He secured 90% on his boards. He got happy for 1 day or two. He also got admission to a reputed college. When he joined college, he thought once I complete my graduation with good marks, then I will very happy because then I will get placed in a big company. All through his graduation of 3 years, he didn’t do anything except studying, not given time to his loved ones and never enjoyed college life too. He cleared his graduation with good marks and also placed in a big company. He was again happy by the event for one day or two.
Then again he thought, I just got a job with a minimum income package. I will be happy the day, my income will increase to a 6figure income package. Then again, he started working hard, being tense and worried to get promoted to a higher level. He used all good and bad ways to achieve what he wanted, he didn’t pay attention to his family nor his health. He got a serious illness and in a short time, he died. He complained to the god, that he never enjoyed life and died at so early age.
Angels of heaven answered that “you always keep postponing your happiness and peace. You tied your happiness and inner peace to the outer destination. And human needs are limitless. If achieved one, desire for another comes and this is endless. You need to strive for your goal while enjoying and being happy in the present moment. Life is unpredictable; nobody knows when the day of death will come. So, be happy where you are while working to achieving higher in life. Happiness is a choice that you make each day. You decide whether you want to be happy or not, no matter what outer circumstances in life. Outer things are not in our control but inner happiness and peace are in our hands. Choose wisely. Balance your life. Every aspect of life is important whether it is family or friends or career. In midst of achieving material things in life, don’t miss out on life”. Mohan learnt his lesson. Are you doing the same mistake and missing out on your life?
