A little history
The Tosa was born in the nineteenth century by the crossing of Western dogs (Bulldog, Mastiff, Great Dane, St. Bernard, Bull Terrier) and native dogs of Shikoku (Japan).
This breed is very popular with yakusas (Japanese mafia) who use it among other things for dog fighting. In France, this dog enters category 2 (if it is not LOF, it will be classified in category 1). It is therefore necessary to declare it in town hall and to possess a permit of detention. Leash keeping and wearing the muzzle are mandatory in public places.
Character

Temperament
