Do you know why your dog is acting what he acts? Like human, dogs are proven to have feelings too.

They can also feel gladness, sadness, fear and felt pain.

Here's some hint to know what your dog is trying to tell you.

WHEN DOG WAGS HIS TAIL SLOWLY
That means he accepts that you are in charge.

THE TAIL IS RAISED AND TREMORS SLIGHTLY
Could mean that your dog is issuing a challenge to your authority. They felt good whenever they're on this mood.

THE TAIL IS TUCKED BETWEEN THE LEGS
Your dog is scared, afraid of pain or feels uncomfortable. But if he is tucking his tail more often, take him to a vet.

THEIR EYES ARE WIDE OPEN AND ALERT
Could also mean that he is challenging you. He is expecting you to respond quickly and firmly. Next time you approach an unfamiliar dog, avoid looking into their eyes directly.

SQUINTS AND BLINKS
He wanted you to throw him his favorite ball or take him for a walk. But if he squints a lot, his eyes might be in pain.

EARS ARE STRAIGHT UP OR IN FORWARD
Means your dog is paying attention to everything around him.

FLATTEN AGAINST THE HEAD
This is one of the sign that the dog is absolutely scared. If only one ear is down, it means he is reacting to an unfamiliar person/people.

THE DOG YAWNS
Means the dog is grumpy or nervous. But when you notice your dog yawns after you, it means you two are attached to each other. Or because it's time to sleep. 😛

DOG LICKS HIS FACE
Dogs does this when they are stressed, feeling pressured or feel danger. Licking nose encourage potential calmness.

EXPOSES HIS TEETH BUT NO SNARLING
Means he is protecting his territory. It is important to know that one should not come near a dog or any animal when they are eating because they might think you are to steal their food.

DOG ROLLS OVER AND EXPOSES HIS BELLY
He is showing you that he trust you and wants to please you.

WHEN HE PUTS HIS HEAD ON YOUR KNEE
He wants to get attention and show that he needs you. If your dog touches your hand, it means he want you to pet him.

HIS PAWS ON YOUR KNEE
Means he wants to dominate you. Look into a dog's eyes and removing the paw.

ONE FRONT PAW RAISED
Your dog is trying to ask you something. Maybe he is hungry or wants to play. They sometimes do it as well when they find something interesting.

TURNS HIS BACK
This action means your friend trusts you a lot, they are comfortable at that moment and is feeling secure with the environment.

DOG SHAKES
Dogs do the shaking thing as a way of relieving tension. Probably the dog is stressed, met an unpleasant smell or another animal.

Here's a photo that could add value to the discussion.

Ohh I can relate so much to n this post. But when he rolls over and expose his belly, it seems like he wants me to rub his belly until he falls asleep.

Hahaha, guess that is a better translation of his act.

I have a dog myself and your article is of great help. I only knew a little about how he acts. Thanks

Thanks for dropping by @jennybeans

At the end of WWI, the German government trained the first guide dogs for war-blinded soldiers.

Ha - this is oh so true. My dog Poppy does so many of these - especially the 'wanting you to throw the ball' one. One to add is when they sigh because they are bored or you are not doing what they want. Nothing on earth sighs quite like a dog!
