Sophie Tucker's Australian Cattle Dog - artificially breed obtained as a result of crossing of Scotch marble-blue cars dingo and Dalmatian.
Australian Cattle Dog first and foremost characterized by its resistance and durability and history but Sophie convinces us exactly that.
When owners are Sophie on a journey off the coast of Queensland in November 2008, she fell overboard in a flurry of sea. Jen and David Griffin looking dog for hours, but finally had to give up all hope. Believing that Sophie died in the waves, they return home to grieve for his faithful four-legged friend.
Except it turns out that it is a bit premature.
Sophie Tucker survived and managed to swim about 15 kilometers through the turbulent waves to reach the small island called St. Bees. There dog spends four months, feeding on crabs, turtles died and others. Sophie finds refuge in the caves formed in volcanic rocks on the island. It is possible that even the dog is swim to the neighboring small island Kezuik, which is about 300 meters.
There are a handful of people living in St. Bays and they are gradually beginning to face their new neighbor. In April 2009, they reported a wild dog, which at first seemed very feeble, but later improved. Sophie became rather wild and aggressive, and she did not allow anyone to approach her.
Shortly after, a group of guards from the island managed to capture her, and when they heard about this unusually Australian shepherd dog, the Griffin family contacted the authorities to see if they were talking about their Sophie.
Sophie's adaptation to home life is difficult at first, but she is adapting at a rapid pace. Moreover, she even accepts the new Ruby dog that her family took to think she would never see her again.
"It surprised everyone. She was a pet dog, but managed to swim miles along the sea to survive in the wild and tackle alone. We would only be able to speak to tell yourself about your adventures," says Jen Griffith.
