The Blue Bay Shepherd is a breed of dog currently in development to produce dogs that are wolf-like in appearance. They are named for their place of origin in Palm Bay, Florida and the blue German Shepherd Dogs, one of the breeds of their ancestry.
The German Shepherd in which Blue Bay Shepherds evolved from is a breed of medium to large-sized working dog that originated in Germany. The breed standard height at the shoulders from 24–26 inches. They weight from 66–88 pounds as adults.
Blue Bay Shepherds are charming, intelligent and engaging dogs. They are quite unique and striking with their light eyes and blue-tinted coats.
Some people who are claiming to have "Blue Bay Shepherds" for sale are frauds. The Blue Bay Shepherd is still in its early development stages and will be for several more years. There are NO legitimate breeders of The American Blue Bay Shepherd other than the founder in Palm Bay, Florida. If your pup doesn't come from this source, it isn't a Blue Bay Shepherd.
All Blue Bay Shepherds are registered with a certificate and a number, hand signed by the founder. If you bought a pup without this certificate it is not a genuine one. If a Blue Bay Shepherd is bred to anything other than another Blue Bay Shepherd it is a mixed breed. There are no legitimate Blue Bay Shepherds that exist without a certificate. If you see a dog for sale that someone is claiming to be a Blue Bay Shepherd, ask to see the certificate of the pup or of both parents. If they claim the certificates are lost then call the founder at (561)-248-4610 as every single Blue Bay Shepherd born will have a registration number that the real breeder can verify.
