Puppies and Stairs

In the beginning when puppies are first introduced to stairs, puppies will trip and fall up the steps. Especially large breed dogs whose feet are to big for their bodies. They are more willing to try going up compared to coming down. Down looks so scary to them, they are afraid they're going to fall. I remember when my boy Patches was first learning to go up-and-down the stairs. Once he got the hang of climbing the steps he would run up the steps start barking calling for my mother to come get him. It was a game to him, he would run up stairs bark like grandma come get me, my mom would go up the stairs pick him up and bring him downstairs. He would run back up the stairs bark again 🙄 my mom would go pick him up again and bring back down the stairs 😒. I looked at her like he really got you trained. 🤣
