Introducing "Sissy"
So, I have always been a German Shepherd type of guy as is my wife. In fact, one of the first gifts I gave her when we were dating was a Shepherd puppy. Fast forward about 20 years, and a beautiful Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix puppy fell in our laps. My wife immediately claimed her as her own, and named her Athena. My daughter had different ideas, being an only child, she called her sissy; her furry sister. These two quickly became thick as thieves. Needless to say, she has "ruled the roost" since day one. She is so smart and focused. I can understand first hand why the breed is so popular with military and law enforcement. She is definitely fine example of both breeds.
She is quite the character, who is totally obsessed with any kind of ball. She has destroyed more soccer balls than I can count, and you will become best friends if you throw her a tennis ball. She even falls asleep holding the ball in her mouth.
!
She even puts them away when she isn't using them.
She can be pretty persistent when she wants to play
My daughter and her sissy became inseparable.
She even made a great chaperone, when boys came calling.
She now protects my grandsons, like she did to their momma.
Sissy has been a wonderful companion, and a big part of the family.
Then there was a sudden disturbance in the force.............. stay tuned for my next episode "What do you mean you got me a Chihuahua?!?!
haha we got to see who this Chihuahua is! :D
