Samoyed Puppy Training 1 - Take bone away

in dogs •  7 years ago

If you get this done regularly at a young age it won't become an issue.

If you do not practice this, you may encounter the same problem my sister-in-law has, where if you try to take food away (Beagle in this instance) it can get aggressive and may even bite you. NOT IDEAL.

In my experience I have never seen or even heard of a Samoyed biting a human. They tend to just show their teeth and growl a bit, but its good to put a stop to that when they are a puppy.

Here is what we did from a young age, it has enabled us to be able to get down close to him when he is eating or getting involved with a toy. He has no problem with us taking wither from him now.

When we decide to have a child, (which may be in the near future) we want to know that if the toddler is getting close to Solomon when he is eating, that there won't be an issue.
