long time...what is time?

EIGHT months.
That's how long it's been since I last blogged. I have had good days and bad, as everyone else. I have been working through the pandemic, as many have. Hubby has been out of work pretty much since it started so we are adjusting to a new homelife, like many others are, I'm sure.
Our 'new' pup, Orbit has turned 2 years old and we've had him now for about a year and a half.
His behavior has improved so much (though there are still little quirks I could happily see go away) but has so much energy that we decided to get another puppy to keep him company.

We now have a little pug, Freyja, who is just turning 4 months old this weekend.

It's both helping AND setting some things back a little, as he's too crazy to just play and then nap...he'd rather be alone when playtime is over but SHE wants to be with him as much as she can. So Orbit gets cranky.
The upside though is that he is NOW sleeping in! As a way to avoid her as long as possible in the morning, I think!

On another positive, we don't have to risk fights at the dog park, or watch him awkwardly watch the other dogs play, as now he has a forever playmate.

He is so much better with her than I ever thought he'd be, given his troubled beginnings. And she just adores him and can't get enough attention from him.

It took her longer to figure out the potty training thing than either Orbit OR our old pug, but now we know the signs of her needing to go out...she doesn't just go to the door, she furiously licks! Our faces, legs, feet...whatever is closest at the time!

She is silly and they are silly together.

We are happy to have the duo, though we never thought we'd have 2 dogs at once, I finally got my wish!
