It may have well been the bird, but when the bird goes up in flames and falls, right in the middle of another burned area, that makes it a mystery to try and find. I couldn't have told you it was a bird until you zoomed in some more.
I guess if I had to choose between birds and combines, I'd rather the bird, so that human danger is kept to a minimum. Obviously, I'd rather everything go smoothly and the birds quit sticking their beaks where they don't belong.
What about sticking pinwheels up there to scare the birds away? :)

That would be pretty comical to see a bunch of pinwheels up powerpoles, but I like the idea.
Normally the birds just take an initial hit and fall off. This one hang on and cooked for a bit.

I love the detail in your posts. I couldn't help myself, but I had a cartoon-impression of the bird being blasted off that recloser that made me laugh.
