Dolphins: Let's work together, my invite to you

With the current turmoil on the steem blockchain in regards to steemit inc's powerdown and @ned's questionable leadership. The need for us to work together and coordinate becomes ever more important.

What are your thoughts on the situation? Do you lean for or against a fork that would remove Steemit's stake?

My personal view is to avoid a fork if possible. However, it should be developed and ready to go as a form of insurance policy. We don't want more chaos so any fork needs to be well planned, clearly documented and well supported.

The council itself doesn't have a view as it has not voted on the matter. i feel that all the council proposals should follow a clear and democratic process. I think coordination and working together is needed if we are to overcome the very skewed distribution of steem power.

If one wanted such nefarious dealings then they should invest in EOS where processes are in place to reverse transfers and freeze accounts. My feeling is that STEEM's governance still has the danger of corruption, like EOS, but at lesst it is not coded that way. DPOS may be on the brink of solving scalability yet POW has security locked and loaded.
