Week 11 (November 2018)
Welcome to Recent Developments. In this series I post about domain names that sold recently and have since become developed into an actual website. In other words, this is a focus on end user sales and what they are doing with their recent domain purchase!
End user info in the domain name industry can be extremely valuable. You can learn a lot from this type of data, because it shows you what an end user price was for a particular domain name. Hopefully you can apply that knowledge to your own domain investing both on the buy as well as the sale side. If you know what people are willing to pay for a domain it can help you price your domains right to sell.
On top of all that, it's fun to see what's new on the web!
Domains Recently Developed
This week we're looking at 3 domains that were sold mid September. All the domains sold in the 4 figure range. The highest sale was almost $2,500 dollars. Anyway, let's look at these recent developments... Enjoy!
CherryLabs.com
The first domain is CherryLabs.com. It's a two word .com that sold for $1,556 dollars on September 19th, 2018 at GoDaddy. The end user that purchased the domain is an IT company based in India. The company offers IT consulting, cloud services and customer support ticketing software. They are currently using this new domain to redirect to their country code domain, cherrylabs.in.
I think CherryLabs.com is an okay domain. It's a must have if you have already spent time and energy branding yourself with that name. I think the .com is an upgrade for them, so well done.
Bidcoin.io
Next we have Bidcoin.io. This domain was sold for $1,750 dollars on September 19th, 2018 at Sedo. The end user is running some kind of auction site on the domain that appears to be crypto related. It appears that you can actually bid on various crypto currencies for sale at auction... interesting.
I don't particularly like this domain as an investor, but it's nice to see more crypto related projects popping up and of course the .io space is very popular in the crypto industry.
SkySolutions.com
Finally, we have SkySolutions.com which sold for $2,410 on September 17th, 2018 at Namejet. The end user is a company headquartered in the Washington D.C. Metro Area of the same name offering as they put it,
strategic consulting, staffing and technology services...
I like this name, it's actually my favorite domain on today's list. I tend to like domains that are two words and have the same first letter, like SkySolutions. I think it was a great pickup for this company and honestly at a fair price.
Anyway, that concludes this edition of Recent Developments.
