Welcome to Recent Developments. In this series I post about domain names that sold recently and have since become developed into an actual website. In other words, this is a focus on end user sales and what they are doing with their recent domain purchase!

End user info in the domain name industry can be extremely valuable. You can learn a lot from this type of data, because it shows you what an end user price was for a particular domain name. Hopefully you can apply that knowledge to your own domain investing both on the buy as well as the sale side. If you know what people are willing to pay for a domain it can help you price your domains right to sell.

On top of all that, it's fun to see what's new on the web!

Domains Recently Developed

I've got a fresh batch of domains that sold recently and are now in use, aka developed. We've got a marketing agency, a perfume brand and a crypto related site that looks pretty interesting! Enjoy!

Smaat.com

The first domain is Smaat.com. It's a single word .com (although I'm not sure what this word is... might be made up.). This domain sold for $5,500 dollars on September 28th, 2018 at Sedo. The site that's up on this domain now is a digital marketing and digital media company with locations in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Cairo.

I don't love this domain, but I also don't hate it. There were quite a few of these kinds of domains selling for the last few years now at brandbucket and I'm not sure if the market is still strong as this domain sold at Sedo. Either way, it's a short domain and it's arguably pronounceable so that's good. And it may actually be a word that I'm just not aware of.

LoveScript.com

Next we have LoveScript.com. This domain sold for only $910 dollars at GoDaddy on September 30th, 2018. The site on the domain appears to be a perfume oils and bath & body products brand by celebrity love coach, Lauren Frances.

I like this domain. The price was right and it's a memorable name and easy to say. It's a good brand.

AlphaWallet.com

Finally, we have AlphaWallet.com. This domain sold October 1st, 2018 for $3,855 dollars at DropCatch. This is an interesting one. The site that resolves on this domain is offering a service where they build an off blockchain layer in between your dapp and the blockchain that processes any information that doesn't have a need to be on chain. This allows for as they say,

you to boost your DApps usability, scalability and privacy so that you can bring the best user experience to your customers.

I like this domain too. It's a simple 2 word domain that is very easy to remember and say, it's greatly brandable and the crypto aspect has me interested. This will be an interesting industry to watch, companies building off chain layers for speed and security.
