I don’t agree with a single one of these alt-right conspiracy theorists, whatsoever... but for fuck’s sake, stop suspending and banning people for having an opinion that may not be popular to them public out there.
This is the same strategy being utilized in the whole #RussiaGate nonsense, where anybody that is Russian, or in Russia (i.e. working for RT), should be cracked down on, because they happen to state an opinion that isn’t pro-America, I guess.
Basically, it just boils down to suspending and silencing anybody that doesn’t say what that specific platform wants, or what that platform deems to be dangerous and/or inappropriate. I couldn’t care less what these people say, as long as it doesn’t encourage violence.
Do they have strange, unpopular opinions? Sure, but silencing them not only makes them into victims, who complain about being silenced, but it also creates a slippery slope for Progressives, and other people, who don’t have mainstream ideologies, to be silenced, as well.
We don’t need this crackdown on dissent. If you create a media platform, where you invite all comers to state their point of view, let them do it. This is only going to lead to bigger problems in the future for everyone else that isn’t considered in the “mainstream.”
Does the first amendment and free speech mean anything anymore?
