I decided downvoting is not all it’s cracked up to be (for me)!
It’s not worth it if my blog is going to get perma flagged for issuing flags! My hope is once I stop flagging maybe I will stop getting flagged as much? I’m tired of getting flagged so i’m makes sense for me to not flag anymore!
I think the downvoting hard fork was simply spinning our wheels! It didn't bring the price up, actually sent it to where we are now - down!
It was a failure in my book, I won't even use them anymore, thus the last HF brought nothing good to steemit & hopefully the next HF is a winner!
I tried, I gave down voting my best shot, it just isn't for me!
Until I have half a million steem, no more down voting for me! Next goal, half a million steem! Flags just don't work for me!

P.S. steemit needs to fix this post editor, it just lost my edit and messes it ups when I am editing and get flagged for some reason! OMG the post editor totally ruined this post, garbled it up, sorry I can write really I can!lol

It doesn't really surprise to see that thsoe who use downvotes are also being downvotes by others. After all downvotes are considered act of agression by so many and should be treated as such.
I'm glad you've made this decision and hopefully you will attract less attention of flaggers.
Do they work for anyone out there? Flags are pure evil. It's like trying to teach people how to become good citizen by beating them up repeatedly. Sometimes for little crimes we would be punished with heavy beating. That's how downvotes seem to work right now.

You may find delegating to a flagging curation team more benificial all around. As for my observation the trending posts seem to have improved and bot vote buying has decreased drastically by my understanding.
