Mushroom Mayonnaise

"Let’s make mushroom mayonnaise"
I will contribute to this act of malice but I might not be able to live with myself after bringing such a terrifying creation into the world.
"Two teens commit suicide after creating mushroom mayonnaise"
It was either we killed ourselves or we were killed for our creation.
Protests were held in the streets. Trying to keep our creation off the shelves. But "The Man" wanted to make a quick buck....
We were labeled as terrorists, it was that heinous.
"THEY WERE JUST KIDS!!!" you could hear cried out.
They died as worldwide criminals.
When news of their creation spread across the globe the need for mushroom mayonnaise exploded across the black market. There were riots in the streets, buildings were burned to the ground the nations governments collapsed, the world turned to post-apocalyptic mayhem fueled by the need for mushroom mayonnaise.
Meanwhile the souls were at peace. Watching the chaos unfold from 6 feet under. Did they kill themselves as a sign of guilt? Or did they know what was to come?
Their peaceful souls watched the chaos unfold, sly smiles appeared on their lips as statues of wreckage and mutilated corpses were raised in their honor.

Their graves ended up being fenced off. Folks would desecrate their graves to show their hatred and disgust. Some would argue that it only made their spirits stronger.
As their graves were beaten and trashed, their souls grew stronger, as their power grew the chaos rose with it, soon all that was left were wastelands of trash, the pollution was so out of control the atmosphere was nearly depleted, it was a dark era of the human race, they weak fell and only the strong rose to power, there was no money, there was no kindness, there was no mercy, there was only violence, destruction, and an unquenchable thirst for mushroom mayonnaise.
Women lived in fear, hiding their children, warning them not to be tempted by the evil concoction. Men would build up their homes, create shelters, and fend off anyone trying to rob them of their lives or family's. Death threats were common.
There were two sides trying to locate the mush-mayo, those who wanted it for themselves, and those who wanted to destroy it.
There was a war, the two sides entered a brutal clash of ages that raged for centuries, it was a dark, and bloody war, the mush-mayo side quickly gained the upper hand, their muscles were bulging from the sustenance of the mayo, their foes on the other side of the war did not have the brute strength that they had, in fact they were vastly outmatched, their only hope to survive was to run, to hide, to infiltrate they're ranks and slowly take them down from the inside, it was the beginning of the end.
When it finally ended, there wasn't much left of the earth. So much had been destroyed. Monuments were crumbling and halfway buried. There remained one man left. The holder of the mushroom mayonnaise. He built an underground tomb to hold this. It was booby trapped and had hidden passages. He placed the jar of mush-mayo on a pedestal and left scripture behind. He died there, in his own tomb.
On his scripture placed in the center of an unsolvable maze deep within his tomb, where no one would ever find the mush-mayo again, he wrote "here in my final resting place I will leave the last of the mushroom mayonnaise, never again will its power haunt my race, with this last act of selflessness I relinquish the globe from the terror that has consumed it for thousands of years in the hopes that the world can once again flourish with life and maybe grow even stronger than it ever was before."
