MDL Changsha Major runs a unique schedule. Out of the tournament’s seven days in Changsha, China, only two of them were scheduled for the group stage. And twelve teams had to be divided into two groups and compete in not best-of-one, but best-of-two round robin for that stage.
The result? Three matches at a time, three streams for each language at a time, 60 matches in total. Good luck if you plan to watch every match.
Perhaps the reason they made the group stage so unfollowable is because the group stage wasn’t meant to be good. The group stage was meant for teams to learn about others so they can prepare their best for the main stage.
Thankfully, the main stage should provide us with enough Dota 2. To fill the five remaining days, this tournament only eliminated one team from each group in the group stage and only the first round of the lower bracket will be best-of-one. The grand finals will be best-of-five and the rest will be best-of-three.
Only four teams, however, will start from the lower bracket. The second and third from each group will start from the first round of the upper bracket while the group winners get to start from the second round.
Group stage result

Upper bracket: Mineski, OG, VGJ.Storm, TNC Predator
