One of my key goals for the year is to reduce out 'stuff' - plenty of ways to go.
We use Freecycle to get rid of quite a few things. They go to a wanted home, and it is a great way to build local contacts.

I used them a few years ago when I left UK, they were brilliant. Posted on Friday and everything was literally gone on Sunday morning, including all my Country Walking magazines that I collected over 2 years. Really chuffed they went to a good home

You have no idea how close you are to the truth.... this materialised on our 'metal reunion' FB messenger group a couple of wknds ago.... I have no memory of it being taken, and I'd never seen it before, oh the joys of a pre social media youth!

A van is so much fun. We have lived in a transit before. And many other vehicles beside.
I do enjoy minimalising. So satisfying. Selling the records was a big move and looks like you got a fair amount for them. I have lots of books but they just don't sell easily, even if they are fairly new. People don't seem to attach value to them these days and the postage seems unreasonable when for a few extra bucks you can get it free postage from Book Depository.

I've been trying to get rid of some stuff. Most is hardly worth selling and so tends to go to charity. There are books and music I'd find it hard to part with. The music thing is odd as we tend to not play albums or CDs, so could get rid of those. It just feels wrong to do that.
I also have loads of what some might consider junk, but I think may find a use such as old speakers and other electronics. It can sit there for years unused, but I keep thinking I'll find a use for it. Maybe I have to accept I'm a hoarder :)

I'd dread moving house. We have had a bit of a clearout recently. Found some clothes moths, so had to check the wardrobes etc. Didn't find any, but I had a load of stuff I'll never wear again. Then there's the loft and shed...

I started getting rid of my stuff few years ago by selling or donating books to my local library, selling, donating or recycling clothes... Also getting rid of some "sentimental" items such as concert/festival tickets, a bunch of photos and similar stuff I used to collect. I still go through my things couple of times a year and I find that each time I am less attached to them (and material things in general).
I think you did did an amazing job dealing with your belongings and coming up with a strategy/categories. :)

Sounds like you're doing pretty well too! I hadn't thought of donating to my local library, I might see what I've got that's suitable.
I've got very few sentimental items left, other than photos.
