DOWNVOTED BY DTUBE

in downvote •  5 years ago

I thought dtube was a cool platform better than youtube or anything else, but lately I am getting downvoteds on my posts.
The platform that I really liked hates me and I feel like I am getting bullied on purpose.

I know my channel is nsfw and it's not for everyone, but my videos are tagged as nsfw so if you don't like, you don't even have to look at them.

I don't know exactly how the system works but 1 downvote weights 10 times more than 1 upvote so that my post gets hidden and reputation points get deducted severely.
It's not like my channel is popular or I am making any money off of this.
It's just very discouraging and frustrating...

Usual reasons for downvoting are spam, plagiarism or disagreement with reward. Since you don't earn much from the posts could it one of the other two?

Apart from that downvotes aren't multiplied by 10. They can only be 100% the same as an upvote.

I am not getting rewards or anything so I don't think that is the case. I don't know why its spam or plagiarism...and I actually like to know the reason.
I don't think upvote and downvote are the same...I have 5 upvotes and 2 downvotes on one post. But the post is still hidden and my reputation points still got destroyed...but then, I don't know exactly how this works so...¯_(ツ)_/¯

It depends on how much STEEM power each person uses to vote. If there is more steempower downvoting than upvoting your post then it will be hidden. Dtube has a lot of steempower so the can hide posts if they use a lot of their power to downvote but i don't think they would without a reason to.

I'm working on a story that both explains and exposes how steemit actually functions. Here's a link if you're interested, https://steemit.com/philosophy/@logiczombie/my-30-days-on-a-tv-game-show-part-one

And here's a brief overview of the official unofficial steemit ethics guide (which seems to have generated some small controversy), https://steemit.com/ethics/@logiczombie/is-there-an-etiquette-guide-for-steemit

Thanks I will check those out :)
