Should firecrackers be banned for once and all?
Greetings Steemians!
Firecrackers are explosive devices that are just used for the recreational and sports activities. It is also a sports activity to burn firecrackers. It's a multi-million industry and lots of people get employment from it. However, burning of firecrackers also have negative sides. They pollute the environment which has already become a big problem.
Should firecrackers be banned for once and all?

I imagine the pollution caused by fireworks would be pretty insignificant if compared to fracking, war or mining the lithium we need for our endless electronics. Perhaps we could start with banning those first.

The vast majority of people understand how to use a firecracker safely, those who do not can learn or hurt themselves for being willfully ignorant, we do not need to sell them to children due to safety concerns, and we can deal with the pollution issue but not using them or other fireworks to close to waterways and by using different chemicals in their production. Fire hazards seem to be a bigger concern where I am from.

I do not know, but my opinion about this probably does not matter anyway. And even if firecrackers would be banned, there still would be people, who would create and use them anyway.
