About dPoll
dPoll is a place on the Steem blockchain where you can answer questions by your fellow Steemians and create polls yourself. You can find it at dPoll.xyz.
If you want to learn more about the project, you can read the introductory post.
There are a lot of developments going on at the moment in order to build out the MVP into a capable dApp on Steem.
The most recent developments were focused on UI in general and editing in particular.
The immediate tasks on our development roadmap are:
- Fixing the mobile issues on markdown editor
- Adding/Updating post tags
- Multiple choice selection (Not %100 decided, yet.)
- DPP (dPoll Points) system based on user activity
If you have any feedback, go to our issues page at Github or drop by at our Discord server.
See it online at dpoll.xyz, and the source code at github repository.

What happened on dPoll recently?
Last week was very busy on dPoll. Here are some highlights of what moved the dPollers:
On Friday @movievigilante asked a topical question:
Did you eat too much for Thanksgiving?
This dPoll was not only about asking questions. There were answers as well. Answers to questions nobody asked:
- Tryptopham is important as many animals can't produce it on their own. It is an essential amino acid. The downside: it makes you tired because it increases serotonin.
- Canadian Thanksgiving happens on the second Monday in October.
On Thursday @psos thought it would be a good idea to start a quiz:
Great Idea!
Everybody got it wrong - the same wrong answer. What a start... Don't lose hope @psos!
On Wednesday @demotruk asked:
Is Bitcoin a reliable Store of Value?
81% said it is not. We can't say how much voters truly believe that or if they are just frustrated by the recent price action in crypto.
On Tuesday @nerdtopiade posted his 7th Random Voting Game:
There were three keys to choose from. He will use the winning key on his Stream and give the remaining two keys to a lucky voter.
Hint: if you are interested in games you might want to look out for the next one.
On Monday @themarkymark wanted to know:
Which hardware wallet do you prefer?
Turns out the vast majority really likes hardware wallets - the old school ones. Paper wallets that is.
Sometimes Steemians can be very traditional.
On Sunday @xabi wanted to know if he should elect for the 100% SP payout:
Is it time to start choosing 100% SP payout option?
He didn't come here for opinions only. No! It was to win the competition! To help him gather the most votes he put on a bounty of 1 Steem for a random voter.
See what it brought him: Victory! And people are saying the economics on Steem are broken. Certainly not for @xabi. Nice move!
PS: Apparently Backstreet's Back, alright.
