...elements of history do repeat themselves. Humans have a tendency to fall into the same old traps that others long before them have, thinking they know better, have better knowledge, etc.

However, to say that the exact same things are happening to the exact same people or in the same places, well, that simply isn't so. And in most cases, the events or actions may be similar or reminiscent to what's happened before, but not happen exactly the same way.

It's as amazing as if Zhu Yuanzhang had defeated the Yuan Dynasty but his descendants had been defeated by the Qing Dynasty.

History is always repeating itself and mankind has missed the opportunity to reflect on it time and again. It is not until irreparable losses occur that we regret.

If you're familiar enough with world history, you can find plenty of evidence. Humans are forgetful and history is always repeating itself.
