It is estimated that over six billion people consume milk and other dairy products all over the world. Dairy industry is an ancient industry. In fact, humans have started rearing animals for milk and mutton much before agriculture began.
Dairy industry provides numerous jobs to people and it is one of the best means of livelihood for many. However, dairy industry is also associated with the cruelty against the animals. Animals are not treated well in most of the farms. They face cruelty and farmers torture them there.
Should we minimize our consumption of dairy products for the sake of protecting animals?

Maybe not minimize but cut down the use of it while insuring a humane life for these animals. This is also something that is much easier to do for some regions than others. Some people need assistance in order to get up to par in this game. Anyone who does not at least show respect for the animals they use to create their food or other products, do not deserve to utilize said animals.
