How fast is your internet speed?
If you don't know how to check, go to SpeedTest.net to check your speed. Note, if you have very fast internet (> 250 Mbps) you may need to change your servers around a bit to find the one that most accurately shows your internet speeds. As an optional entry, I'd like to see what your ping and upload speeds are as well. Feel free to post a screenshot of your results!
- < 1 Mbps (I'm so sorry for you...)
- 1 - 5 Mbps
- 5 - 10 Mbps
- 10 - 20 Mbps
- 20 - 50 Mbps
- 50 - 100 Mbps
- 100 - 250 Mbps
- 250 - 500 Mbps
- 500 - 1000 Mbps
- > 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps)

Yeah, you're about double what I used to get on DSL, which we had up until a year ago. That DSL offered 5 Down and .5(ish) Up. A year ago a private, local telecommunications company brought high-speed internet access out here, and we joined up immediately!

Most downloads use only 3-5 Mbps as a maximum, so, I don't see the point why I would need more speed.

While my internet speed is officially 500 Mbps, I often get somewhat above that speed. Sometimes hitting as much as 550 Mbps at night when activity is low. Even when overall internet activity is high, I usually still get, at least, 400 Mbps or more. Shockingly, I don't have Fibre Internet, this is all done via normal copper cable lines. That's why my upload is rather lacking, but my ping is pretty good! It's actually better than 20 usually, but the servers for Ookla closest to me can't seem to handle my fast internet.
