Dpoll 50: Do you take warnings seriously?

Stormy weather, snow, the flu, war zones or...

These are good reasons for governments to alarm and warn and... to make you at or go back home. Why? Because it is not safe.

In many cases we ignore it.
We have all kinds of reasons why we have to go out. Work, school, no food, an appointment that cannot wait. If it comes to it we ignore the warning and go out anyway.

Our employer, colleagues, school, friends or stomach will not forgive us if we stay at home. Why listen, take a warning seriously? We know what is best for us plus believe what happens to someone else will not happen to us.

Do you follow up warnings given by the government/city/doctor/weather forecast/etc?

  • Yes

  • No

  • It depends on the warning

I have lived long enough not to.

@deirdyweirdy Thank you for your vote. So you go out on a stormy day with a wind blowing 175 km and do not care?
Today was a good day to stay home. We had Cairi and storm Dennis (who thought out this name?) is on his way. ❤️

No Miss Kitty, that would just be silly. I don't need a warning to tell me that. I poke my nose out the door and pull it straight back in again.

Hahaha 😅😂 thank you for the goid laugh. You made my day. 💕

I take the stormy serious the liw battery I ignore as long as possible ...

Weather forecasts aren’t trustworthy here

I can remember as I was a kid they only told you for next day. After that for 3 days. Now they tell you for 14 fays ahead and not even the next day is right. I wonder what kind of studie those guys followed. If you ask a farmer he knows better. Happpy day. 💕

True. Fisherfolks and farmers tell the weather much better

I wouldn't go out in a hurricane or anything, but something less serious, possibly depending what it is.

@billybohner Thanknyou for your vote. It makes sense although our employer and schools would insist you to be there and ignore the hurricane.❤️
