Queen Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, Lady of Dragonstone, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons. source
The above lines real pumps me up each time they come up and I have always fantasized with the idea of owning dragons ever since I started watching Game of Thrones. The gliding flights, the beastly look and oh!....the spitting fire.
If it will not be possible to own dragons in real life (do they even exist?), here is a game built on the Ethereum blockchain that allows me and other dragon enthusiasts to own one, albeit virtually.
Dragonereum - Breed, train and engage your dragons in battles
Dragonereum is a cryptocollectible game that combines the blockchain technology with complex player-vs-player gameplay.
Just as Daenery Targaryen had total control of her dragons, this game places the destiny of your dragon in your complete control. You can own a dragon to start the game by purchasing one from other players or by simply claiming a dragon egg during the genesis period. This is the period during which dragons eggs are freely distributed to participants in a bounty-esque style but based on a certain number of blocks. Over ten thousand dragon eggs that will hatch into 5 different dragons with varied skill sets are available for distribution during this period.
The dragon eggs will hatch into baby dragons with the default skills and traits determined by parental genetic mix and a certain amount of luck. While Daenery used a fierce fire to hatch her own dragon eggs, the dragon eggs in Dragonereum is hatched by in-game gold which would have been distributed along with the eggs during the genesis period or purchased in the in-game marketplace.
In addition to the default skillsets, players can purchase special skills from dragon masters to fortify their dragons in order to try and get to the topmost level. Once a player is satisfied with the skillsets of his/her dragons, then he is ready to engage them in a player versus player battle with others. The battle between two dragons is an on-the-chain-computed animated battle with a series of attack and defensive moves from both parties, depending on their skills. Players can select the battle strategy or style that they think will get their dragons to victory over their rivals.
Every battle won by a dragon represents a level up that constitutes an invaluable experience point for training and breeding of such dragon, in-game cryptocurrency for dragon owners as well as provides a step higher on the Dragonereum leadership board. It unlocks new potentials to upgrade the skills and body parts of the dragon or breeds it up for entirely new genetic variations.
A cryptocollectible game with a difference!
As a blockchain and crypto enthusiast, I have tried my hands on few cryptogames but this is kind of unique. Forget about the Game of Thrones's nostalgic feelings it brings, the game has a comprehensive and exciting game features that I have not experienced in any other cryptogame.
The limited number of dragon eggs automatically limits the number of dragons that would be available in the entire ecosystem of the game. This simply means the dragons would definitely be appreciating in values with time as the demand will increase in the face of fix supply. Apart from the unlimited fun it offers, it is quite difficult to overlook the economic aspect. Little wonder the game recently broke into the top 50 on state of the dapps
The game looks awesome! I've been playing Steemmonsters and steemnova and loving, these crypto games are really good!
I've been thinking of starting to play EOSknights too, have you ever tried it? From what I've heard the economy in the game isn't really that good, but at least I can get some EOS by playing it...

My interest in cryptogames just got piqued recently. I have not tried out any of those games you mentioned but I am going to start exploring them one after the other.

Try @steemmonsters first, to me it's one of the best games around that uses the blockchain really really well, I'm impressed by the quality of it! We still have a long way to go, but steemmonsters it's def one of my favorites! Even non Steemians are playing it! Can't talk about EOSknights since I still haven't played it, and from what I heard the economy is really broken...

Nope, it's like Magic The Gathering, you get cards and you battle with those cards against other people! You have a daily quest and a league, you get rewarded card by doing the daily quest and going up the league! You grow your deck, the stronger it is the higher you will go in the league! It's really awesome!
