Importance of Natyashala
Develop social and higher-order thinking skills. They learn to look at a problem from different perspectives.
Theatre requires advanced thinking strategies, communication, and social skills.
Through plays, children learn to consider others’ perspectives.
Children also gain knowledge and balance their own ideas with others.
They learn to express their thoughts and ideas and create different information and ideas.
How Natyashala boost Confidence
Theatre provides an opportunity for self-expression and allows children to find out more about themselves.
Listening to our inner instincts and then being able to express them also help children to believe in themselves.
Speaking aloud in front of others gives children confidence in their own voice and opinions.
How Natyashala improves Linguistic Skills
Language involves all forms of communication and so does theatre or stage plays. Children can easily understand the meaning of the word by associating it with the situation that is being enacted.
Speaking is an intrinsic part of the theatre. Through this children learn to employ voice dynamics like pitch, volume, intonation and voice modulation
Speaking aloud while memorising the script and practising dialogue delivery will sharpen pronunciation.
Reading aloud the script during rehearsals can instil the ability to pronounce words correctly, focus on punctuation and communicate better.
During Pandemic
During the pandemic, Natyashala continued online. It was done to improve motivation and reduce stress in children.
The focus has been only on story reading, clarity in speaking, focusing on intensity in delivering speeches, imagination and visualization techniques.
