I present to you my first drawing of 2018 Heart Strings in my sketchbook...

This concept of heart strings is a beautiful theme that flows through me. I paint and draw as it strums my heart strings bringing my vibration to higher states attracting a harmonic reflection in time. I sat and worked on this drawing as my little brother worked on his new painting and I watched him on FaceTime.... He just got a set of paints for Christmas and started painting from that time on a little each day. He had in mind he wanted to paint a gift for his son-in-law for his birthday and asked my advice on what he should do to get to where he could paint that.... I told him to start small and work his way up. The image he wanted to paint had nice gradual flow from light to dark. So I told him about the Dutch masters way of painting a black and white under painting and then layer the color over the top. This allows you to focus on the values light to dark and not worry about color. I found this technique to work well and have used it on some of my paintings in the past.

This is the gray scale study he did... WOW little bro you are progressing faster than I did 10 years ago when I started my path back to allowing my artist to flow.... HE really blew me away with this... and I told him Bro you are ready to do that painting! So he went to the art supply store and bought the supplies with me on the phone with him.... One thing you have to understand is this is the first time my brother and I had talked and created together in a few years.... He allowed me back into his life and I am so full of joy for having my little bro back in my life! It really Rings my Heart STRINGS!!!
