A couple of years ago, a friend asked me to illustrate his collection of poetry,
When i read it, i was pleasantly surprised that despite the dark overall undertone, it spoke to me.
Immediately i freed the animals that were captured and dancing around in my imagination,
and led them fluently into a new white paper world...
When i asked him what he wanted and if he wanted it to get published,
He didn't want to get it published, and that he wanted it in black & white.
"It's your baby now, you have to take care of it now." he said.
So, that is what i did.
More creatures were brought alive from my imagination and landed in this world of white papers.
I cradled it, fed it and took out the poems that i felt it didn't need, i watched it grow until i felt that i wasn't needed anymore.
